By Spring 2008, Sutter Davis Hospital will have completed its first master site project since the hospital opened in 1994. Sutter Davis Hospital and Sutter Health are investing more than $6.5 million to enhance four major areas of the hospital to better serve our patients and accommodate our staff and
physicians.

The project touches four key areas of the hospital:
Surgery Department Remodel
The largest of our four projects, the Surgery Department will be significantly remodeled to accommodate five additional recovery bays for patients following surgery, a larger waiting room for family members, expansion of the Nurses station, and a physician-and family conference room.
Lab/Respiratory Therapy/Physical Therapy Remodel
The hospital Laboratory will double in size as it expands into the former Cardiac Rehab Gym. The gym was relocated to the new Medical Office Building last fall. The Pathology team also will enjoy a larger work area and office as part of this remodel.
Emergency Department Remodel
The outpatient waiting room will be remodeled to serve as a new, larger ED waiting room. The existing ED waiting room will be renovated to house three new patient treatment rooms to better accommodate a growing number of residents using our emergency services. Additional work in the ED will enlarge the Triage Room and improve patient flow.
Surgery Materials Management and Supply Remodel
This remodel will occur in the space recently vacated by the Respiratory Therapy Department (main hall on the 1st floor of the hospital) and will provide much-needed storage for the Surgery department.
At times, some of these projects will impact our patients and visitors, as well as our staff and physicians, due to the noise and traffic congestion that construction can bring.
